You can say what you like about the director and his other works, but
when it comes to the special effects here and what they were like
ten-plus years ago, this was a major achievement. There are a few scenes
which stick in my head, none more than the scenes we all remember, ie.
The White House exploding among other worldwide catastrophes.
Not forgetting the dog quickly jumping from car-to-car, into a doorway while a fireball races down the tunnel... that was good.
Although its one I'll never see again, I'll always remember it for what it was.
