There is little I remember from the one and only time I saw the original
Terminator. Mostly I remember trying to track down a copy as a child
with no resources. After seeing the sequel, I tried hard to see the
original. Either way, I did, and was actually surprised at how dark and
gritty it was.
Essentially this is quite an action packed sci-fi movie, not
(essentially) an action based road movie. It's psychological in nature
and does an excellent job of visioning a world in the future - all the
while staying in present times. It's different, but interesting.
