People said this was excellent and its the rebirth of the modern
musical. When I saw it, I thought the opposite. Firstly, I didn't like
the songs very much at all. And secondly, I couldn't follow a thing of
what was going on - every second camera angle was a whip around so fast
it blurred everything.
In fact, the only thing I liked about the movie was completely
inconsequential. The arial shots of town - as they came in closer to the
key location, it became apparent the other streets were cardboard
cut-outs. Not much, but I thought it was interesting.
