Bad Day at Black Rock is a small film about a small town. The town is an
isolated community made up of a bunch of isolated nobodies. Into this
town comes a stranger who seeks to uncover a secret about the town - one
which the town refuses to give up.
The intelligence of the character, his memory and his interactions with
the townspeople, coupled with his old fashioned sleuthing abilities make
for a compelling and well told story which doesn't dumb down, but stays
smart enough to feel rewarding.
Overall, the film is an interesting experience, even if some scenes drag.
