This is one of those films that so many people before you have seen, its
embarrassing to admit that you haven't. It also rises out of conflict -
reviewers say its brilliant while ordinary folk just say its long. Very
long.
I say its both. Some portions are excellent while others, just dull.
Either way, the film works best when viewed not as a cohesive whole, but
as several short films all connected and starring the same people. When
viewed as such, its easy to move from one section to another and not
get too bogged down by the films running time.
