One of the quirkiest and most off beat musicals I've seen is delivered
through a child's eye perspective of what should sound good, look good
even taste good. Everything we 'digest' throughout this film is given to
us, filtered through one big refinery - what is it a kid would like?
From the miracle of finding enough to get candy, to the miracle of
finding the ticket, to grandpa walking again, to the fantastical
chocolate factory... it's a child's every fantasy and hope put to film
and projected onto the screen.
Even the not-so-enjoyable parts are entertaining in some way.
