Mean Streets is a film that I don't like. The story is all over the
place. In fact, it doesn't have one at all. There are just characters
going places, then to other places. I felt like I was being stepped on
the whole time I was watching it, being forced to watch the thing, just
because it was supposed to be good.
If the whole thing wasn't bad enough, the part which I had to struggle
through was the first fight scene. Those repeated shots of De Niro's
character kicking into the air off the pool table are laughably
ridiculous.
